There is a place for you here.
We know that visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating. Knowing what to expect ahead of time can help.
What should I expect?
OUR PATTERN OF WORSHIP
Our services follow the pattern of “Gathering, Word, Meal, Sending.” We gather together with music and prayer, hear a reading from the Bible and a message from the Pastor, and are sent out again with music and a blessing. We receive Holy Communion on the first and third weeks of the month.
ARRIVING AT ST. JOHNS
St. John’s offers on-site parking with designated spaces near the main entrance for people with physical challenges. Our building is all on one level, has accessible restrooms and water fountains and hearing assist devices.
ATTIRE
We are a casual gathering of Christians, and we don’t draw lines about what clothes are appropriate for church. From cowboy boots to a suit and tie, you’ll fit right in.
OFFERING
We collect an offering each week to support the ministry of St. John’s. As our guest, please do not feel obligated to give if you are uncomfortable doing so. The service is our gift to you, and we hope it brightens your week.
CAN I RECEIVE COMMUNION
Yes! We welcome all Christians to the Lord’s table. Upon receiving the bread, you may choose to dip it in wine or white grape juice. Children will receive a blessing. Gluten-free wafers are available upon request.
Covid19 Policy Update
St John’s Congregational Council modified our Covid19 Guidance Policy to say:
- Masking in our facility is “As you feel safest”.
- We have installed an ‘ultraviolet treatment’ within our facility’s air handling system to purify the air as it recirculates.
Children In Worship
We believe that children are an important part of our faith community. Children are encouraged to join us in worship, coming to God’s table together with their families and other caring adults.
